Mexican Independence Day Weekend is a unique event in Southern California. The Southland will host events to commemorate Mexico’s 1821 declaration of independence from Spain.

FESTIVAL OF MEXICAN INDEPENDENCE DAY 2022 The festival is held at Steel Craft in Bellflower on September 16 from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. According to the events Facebook page , visitors can take part in a night full of Mariachi singers, dancing horses, Folklorico dancers, Piatas, balloon artists, craft vendors, face painters, and other activities.

The general public can attend the event for free.

RESOURCE FAIR FOR THE MEXICAN INDEPENDENCE DAY On September 16 from 4:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., a community event in Azusa will assist commemorate Mexican Independence Day by providing entertainment for the whole family and useful resources.

According to the events Facebook page , the event will feature the Young Women’s Christian Association (YWCA) of San Gabriel Valley, Young Invincibles, and the L.A. County Hilda L. Solis office.

They will assist locals in signing up for health insurance and provide free goods like infant formula.
A local dance team will perform, and free food will be offered for a brief period of time.

LONG LIVE THE MEXICAN INDEPENDENCE PARTY A Mexican Independence Day celebration will be held in Santa Ana on September 16 for those aged 21 and up. Dancing, live music, and discounts on food and drinks are available to partygoers.

Celebrating the anniversary of El Grit Mexican restaurant El Mercado Modern Cruise in Santa Ana will host a night of cuisine, cocktails, and dance to commemorate Mexican Independence Day.

The celebration will feature live music and a Mariachi band performance on September 17 from 7 p.m. to 1 a.m. Call the restaurant to book a reservation or use the website if you want to attend.

PARADE IN EAST L.A. FESTIVAL AND PARADE FOR MEXICAN INDEPENDENCE DAY For its 76th annual Mexican Independence Parade, floats, marching bands, and horse units will line the streets of East Los Angeles. The free event will run from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Sunday. From Cesar Chavez Boulevard to Gage Avenue, the parade route will run.

There will be a festival from 11 am to 5 pm.
